self portrait

Self portrait project;

what i used for my self portrait project is a selection of photos;
- friends
- brother and sister
- my relationship
- on the floor is a family tree diagram

To make them look like they are just not stuck on the wall i put a shade next to the photo and underneath all of them.
As you can see on the floor there is a family tree diagram it did originally look like it was stuck to the floor but i multiplied the layer to get rid of the white background to make it look more natural.

I have spent a couple of weeks doing this project, i didn't want to rush it as i wanted it to seem like you were walking into a gallery of my life (what is most important to me) - friends, relationship and family.

New York skyline photoshop

Original photo of the New York skyline

After putting the original image of the photo into photoshop this was the end outcome, i don't know which photo i prefer as both photos have a different style - the original has an edit but of different colours reflecting and the image i did on photoshop has a different concept where the skyline has all been turned around.

Technique;
1) Add the image into photoshop
2) Go to image and then image size and put the size to the same as the height and uptick constrain proportions
3)Go back to image and select rotation to 180 degrees
4)Go to filter, disort and select polar coordinates
5) Select the part you want to blur together so the colour is not just a straight line.

Banksy Photoshop

Original photo

In this photo i have placed one of Banksy's photos on the grass of college green. I have tried to blend the image into the grass so it looks like it has been spray painted onto the grass.

1) On the Banksy picture go to image, adjustments and then threshold, select the consistency that you prefer and press ok
2) Go to filter, artistic and the palette knife - change the stroke size to 3, stroke detail to 1 and the softness to 9.
3) Get both images up so the background picture and your Banksy picture.
4) Select the Banksy picture and drag it onto the background picture
5) Once the Banksy photo is on the college green background, go to edit free transform to move the image.
6) Once you have done that go to edit, transform and then distort so you can make the photo look like its where its suppose to be.
7) Select layer 1 in the corner and make sure its on multiply, rub out the rough edges and blend it in.
8) Go to image, adjustments and levels and change the consistency of the levels that you prefer.

Photoshop

Original photo

I prefer the second photo that i changed as i have always liked photos where it is back and white and just some of the photo has the colour showing as you always draw more attention to detail when parts of the photo is in different colour.

With this photo we had to change the photo into black and white and then duplicate the layer to rub it out to show some of the colour (remember to change the size of the rubber so you can get into the small parts of the photo).
